Moradabad, 28 August (HS). In a complaint given to Civil Lines Police Station, a youth living in the Sadar Police Station area of Brass City Moradabad accused three people including a couple of cheating him of Rs. 12 lakhs in the name of selling land in the area. On the basis of the complaint of the complainant, the police station registered a case against the couple and three others on Wednesday and started investigation.
Saurabh Sharma, a resident of Chaumukhapul in Sadar Kotwali area, said in a complaint lodged at Civil Lines police station that he has filed a case against Mohammad Faijan, a resident of Lodipur Bishanpur, his wife Joha and Humayun. He said that Faijan and his wife had finalised a deal to sell a piece of land in Lodipur Bishanpur and had taken Rs 12 lakh, but after taking the money, they did not register the sale deed of the land. The accused threatened him when he asked for the money back.
Inspector Civil Line Manish Saxena said that a case has been registered against three people including the accused couple and investigation has been started. Action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation.
