Varanasi, August 28 (HS). Opposition party workers are constantly targeting BJP MP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh Kangana Ranaut over her statement on the farmers' movement. On Wednesday, NSUI workers gathered at the main gate of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth here and raised slogans against MP Kangana Ranaut. The workers also symbolically burnt an effigy of Kangana demanding an apology from her statement. Congress student organization official Rishabh Pandey said that the BJP MP has insulted the farmers involved in the farmers' movement by giving a controversial statement. Kangana Ranaut should apologize to the farmers of the country for her statement.

Other leaders said that Kangana is a Padma Shri awardee, but the way she makes statements is not a civilized way. Kangana had said in an interview that if the top leadership of the party was weak, then there could have been a situation like Bangladesh in India too. Everyone has seen what happened in the farmers' movement. Violence was spread in the name of protest. Rapes were happening there, people were being killed and hanged. Justifying the decision of the central government to withdraw the agricultural laws, Kangana said that when the bill was withdrawn, all the miscreants were shocked, because their plan was very long. Kangana is on the target of farmer organizations along with opposition parties for this statement.
