Varanasi, August 27 (HS). Varanasi has once again secured the first position in the state in the Health Ranking Dashboard of Uttar Pradesh. In the recently released dashboard, the district has secured 78 percent marks. With this, the district has secured the first position in the UP Health Ranking Dashboard 10 times so far. This information was given by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary on Tuesday. He said that recently the ranking of all the districts has been displayed in the Health Ranking Dashboard of UP (July 2024), in which Varanasi is once again in the first place. The achievement of Varanasi so far in this financial year is 67 percent while the achievement of the month of July is 78 percent. The achievement of the state so far this year is 54 while this month is 63 percent. In this way, the situation of Varanasi is much better than the achievement of the state. According to the Chief Medical Officer, in the last financial year, the district had secured the first position in the state nine times. According to the monthly dashboard, Varanasi has performed better in cesarean delivery and has secured about 70 percent marks.
It has also secured the first position in the use of permanent means of family planning. ASHA workers are being paid on time. Better performance is also being done on 16 indicators including regular and complete vaccination, temporary means of family planning, prenatal checkup (hemoglobin) in pregnancy, home based newborn care, TB notification, HIV checkup during pregnancy. Delivery and prenatal checkup services are being strengthened at all 10 First Referral Units (FRU). The CMO said that quality medical and health services of maternal-child health and family welfare program are being provided at all government hospitals, community and primary health centers, Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Health and Wellness Center) and health sub-centers of the district. The CMO said that in the Health Ranking Dashboard of the month of August, Araziline CHC has secured first place at the block level, Kashi Vidyapeeth has secured second place and Pindra has secured third place. Baragaon PHC got fourth place, Harhua PHC got fifth place, Cholapur CHC got sixth place, Sevapuri PHC got seventh place, Chiraigaon PHC got eighth place and urban unit got ninth place.
