Katihar, 27 August (HS). Bihar State Disaster Resource Network (BSDRN) can prove to be an infallible weapon in dealing with disasters quickly and effectively. Provided you can learn to use it correctly and all the information and material uploaded on it is updated, accurate and correct. These things were said in the training workshop organized for BSDRN sensitization in the District Collectorate on Tuesday. The program was chaired by District Officer-cum-Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority's Manish Kumar Meena.
In the training workshop, all the departments were asked to provide the required information through a form to operate BSDRN so that the authority can issue user ID and password. The District Magistrate appreciated the usefulness of the portal/app and emphasized the need to update the currently stored data as soon as possible. He directed all the departments to enter their resources on the app.
The training started with the screening of short films based on BSDMA and BSDRN apps. On this occasion, the participants were told about the utility of the app. Also, the process of uploading and updating data related to disaster management was explained. The mobile application was also downloaded by the participants on the spot. The participants were guided and their doubts were resolved by Sandeep Kamal, representative of Bihar State Disaster Management Authority.
On the said occasion, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar, Additional Collector (Disaster) Md. Nurul Ain, District Panchayati Raj Officer Yogendra Kumar, Disaster Incharge Naimish Kumar, Assistant Disaster Management Officer Ms. Ritika Bharti, District Disaster Management Advisor Aman Kumar and senior officers of various departments of the district were present.
