Kanpur, 24 August (HS). Monsoon is now changing its course in the whole country, but rain is still continuing in Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday also, it rained in many districts including Kanpur and 24 mm of rain was recorded in Kanpur. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain in 35 districts including Auraiya, Jalaun, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor on Sunday. Apart from this, there will be thundershowers in some districts.

Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture Technology, said on Saturday that the low pressure area formed over northern Bangladesh has moved westward and was over northern parts of West Bengal at 5:30 am today as per Indian time. The cyclonic circulation associated with it is spread up to 9.4 km above sea level. It will continue to move westward towards Jharkhand during the next 24 hours. The monsoon trough at sea level is now passing through the center of the low pressure area formed over Ganganagar, Deomali, Kanpur, Patna, northern parts of West Bengal and then moving in the east south-east direction towards the north-east of the Bay of Bengal. Due to these weather activities, light to moderate rain will continue in some places in Uttar Pradesh till the end of the month. In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of rain in Auraiya, Jalaun, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Unnao, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Hamirpur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Etawah, Gonda, Basti, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Pilibhit, Shravasti, Mau, Bareilly, Sultanpur of UP. During this time, the sky will remain cloudy, due to which a drop in humidity and temperature can also be seen.

He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 32.8 and the minimum temperature at 25.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 85 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 84 percent. The wind direction was northwest with an average speed of 2.9 km per hour and rainfall of 24.4 mm was recorded. According to the weather forecast, there will be light clouds in the next five days. During this time, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall locally along with strong winds and thunderstorms.
