March of Imran Khan supporters: There are signs of a big scam in Pakistan again. Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has been in jail since May last year. His supporters have repeatedly protested across the country to express their opposition. In this sequence, once again thousands of supporters of Imran Khan have decided to take to the streets of Pakistan.
Supporters of the former ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will again take to the streets today demanding the release of the former Prime Minister. Thousands of PTI supporters from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab provinces can reach Islamabad. PTI supporters have decided to take out a rally at 3 pm. On the other hand, the Pakistani administration is afraid that this rally may lead to a situation like last year's May.
The administration cancelled the NOC for holding the rally
The PTI has announced to hold a rally in the federal capital today (Thursday) despite the cancellation of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) earlier given to the party founded by Imran Khan. The Home Ministry said in a statement that the decision was taken to ensure the safety of students in the federal capital.
Decision to close all educational institutions
The Islamabad district administration has decided to keep all public and private educational institutions closed on Thursday keeping in view the security arrangements for the rally.
PTI Islamabad President Amir Mughal said in a statement on Wednesday that the district administration has canceled the notification, but we have not canceled the rally. Peaceful political struggle is our constitutional and legal right.
