New Delhi, 22 August (HS). Opener Arpit Rana's brilliant half-century helped Old Delhi 6 beat West Delhi Lions by 7 wickets in their third match of the ongoing Delhi Premier League (DPL) at the prestigious Shri Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Wednesday night. This victory was achieved due to the brilliant half-century of opener Arpit Rana, who scored 56 runs in 43 balls.
This is Old Delhi 6's first win in the current season. The Lalit Yadav-led team restricted West Delhi Lions to 141/9 in the stipulated 20 overs. Laxman took three wickets and Ayush Singh took two wickets for Old Delhi 6. After this, Delhi 6 easily achieved the target.

Batting first, West Delhi Lions had a very bad start and the team lost three wickets within three overs. Shivam Gupta and captain Hrithik Shaukin helped West Delhi Lions to make two small partnerships.
Shivam got out in the eighth over while Shaukin got out in the 12th over, taking West Delhi Lions to 65/5. Dev Lakra played a few shots but couldn't carry the innings for long.
West Delhi Lions kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were unable to build any big partnership. Ekansh Dobal and Tishant Dabla scored 34 runs off 14 balls and 23 runs off 9 balls respectively to take West Delhi Lions to 141/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 142 runs, Old Delhi 6 started positively by scoring 40 runs in 4 overs. Arpit Rana gave Old Delhi 6 a strong start, but Manjeet was out in the fourth over. After this, Sanat Sangwan helped Arpit Rana and both of them made a partnership of 40 runs.
Sangwan got out in the 11th over and Old Delhi 6 were reduced to 82/2. Lalit Yadav got out in the 13th over but Arpit Rana continued his brilliant form and kept the scoreboard ticking.
In the end, Old Delhi 6 achieved the target with 17 balls to spare, with Vansh Bedi scoring 30 off 18 balls to guide Delhi 6 to victory. Old Delhi will next take on Central Delhi Kings on Friday.
