Bettiah, 17 August (HS). “Rakhi making competition” was organized on Saturday in Ramakrishna Vivekanand Vidya Mandir, the only CBSE recognized school of Bairia block. Students participated enthusiastically in the competition. Basically this competition was organized in 10 groups. First, second and third prizes were distributed in each group.
School director Vani Das was present on the occasion. She distributed certificates and prizes among the students. At the end of the competition, all the participants tied rakhi to the trees. The tradition of tying rakhi to trees has been going on in this school since a long time. By tying rakhi to trees, the students in a way supported the important contribution of trees in environmental protection.
