Kathmandu, August 15 (HS). Nepal's Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba will arrive in New Delhi on Sunday on her India visit. Dr. Rana is going to New Delhi for treatment but during this time she is also expected to meet her Indian counterpart Dr. S. Jaishankar.
The Nepal Cabinet has given its approval for his visit. According to the Foreign Minister's Secretariat, Dr. Rana had undergone a hyperparathyroidism operation at Max Hospital in Saket, Delhi four months ago. In this connection, he was called to Delhi for a checkup.
According to the Nepalese Embassy, despite visiting Delhi for medical treatment, Dr. Rana's visit to India is being made a formal one. During this, apart from the Indian Foreign Minister, meetings with some other prominent people are also scheduled. During the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Nepal this week, Foreign Minister Dr. Rana was formally invited to visit India. Dr. Rana is the wife of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Dr. Rana, an MP from the proportional quota, has an important role in the formation of the Oli government.
