During the hearing, the Additional District Sessions Judge sentenced the accused to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 27,000 after the accused was found guilty in a case of a deadly attack by firing a gun. He also ordered him to undergo an additional imprisonment of 6 months if he did not pay the fine.
According to the information, Dharmendra Singh, a resident of Sulkhana village in Redhar police station area, gave a complaint to the police on September 19, 2021, telling that his brother Brijendra and his friend Ishtiyak were returning home after buying household goods from Verma's shop. Then Narendra, Piyush Baba alias Surjeet, Indrajit Singh, who were already waiting in ambush, shot his brother Brijendra Singh with a pistol with the intention of killing him.
Brijendra's friend Ishtiyak tried to save him from the serious injury but on the behest of Narendra, Indrajit Singh fired a gun at his friend with the intention of killing him. He fell down bleeding and people rushed him to the hospital. Police registered a case under various sections against Indrajit, Narendra and Baba alias Surjit for the murderous attack and investigated the case.
In this, no evidence was found against Narendra and Piyush Baba. While in the investigation, evidence was found against Indrajit Singh. Police had filed a charge sheet against accused Indrajit Singh in the court. After a trial that lasted three years, the hearing was completed on Wednesday. After hearing the arguments of the lawyers of both the sides and examining the file, Additional Sessions Judge First Shivkumar found Indrajit Singh guilty of murderous attack and other sections and sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment and according to the order, all the sentences will run simultaneously.
