On Tuesday, Civil Lines police station registered a case against the accused boyfriend, his parents and brother in the matter.
The victim told the police in a complaint given two days ago that she had met Arman, a resident of Pazhaya in Mohalla Tatarpur, Agwanpur, two years ago. After this, a love affair developed between the two. The accused lured the girl into marriage and raped her. During this, the accused made an obscene video on his mobile and blackmailed her by threatening to make it viral. Even after this, the accused did not marry the girl. When the victim put pressure, the accused made the video viral. On Sunday, the victim's mother and brother reached the young man's house with a marriage proposal. It is alleged that the young man and his family got angry. They misbehaved with the victim's mother and brother, beat them up and threw them out of the house. They used abusive language about the victim. The police have registered a case against the accused Arman, his father Taufiq, mother Nagma and brother Mobin.
Area Officer Arpit Kapoor said that the named accused in the case is being searched and he will be arrested soon.
