Prayagraj, August 12 (HS). Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad celebrated its 26th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. Chief guest and renowned scholar Mukul Kantikar gave a thought-provoking speech on Bhagavad Gita. He said that Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Lord Krishna and warrior Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
At a function held at Jhalwa campus on Monday, he discussed the teachings of the Gita and highlighted its profound spiritual wisdom and practical guidance for the daily lives of human beings. He said the Gita does not merely impart moral teachings or religious principles but also provides profound insights into the nature of existence and human consciousness. Through a series of dialogues between Krishna and Arjuna, the Gita explores fundamental questions of life, death, duty and righteousness.
He said Arjuna's inner dilemma on the battlefield reflects the conflict between his duty as a warrior and his personal attachment to his family and loved ones. By exploring the teachings of the Gita, we can gain a deeper understanding of our nature and the purpose of life. Kanitkar's words resonated with the audience. He inspired them to seek spiritual knowledge and live a life guided by the principles of selflessness, righteousness and devotion.
Acting Director Prof. OP Vyas said that this annual event not only commemorates the founding of the prestigious institute but also serves as a platform to showcase its achievements, progress and contributions in the field of information technology and education.
