Mirzapur, 12 August (HS). District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said that from 13 to 15 August, the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in the district. On 15 August, Independence Day, the tricolor has to be hoisted on our homes. She said that between 13 and 15 August, the national flag has to be hoisted on the roof of our houses and a pledge has to be taken to carry forward this tradition of nation worship.
The District Magistrate directed the District Panchayat Raj Officer to get the rural areas and all the Executive Officers of Nagar Palika and Panchayat to get the urban areas cleaned by running special cleanliness campaigns. He said that lighting should be done in their offices. He appealed to the people of the district to participate enthusiastically in the Har Ghar Tiranga programme. Remember the freedom fighters and martyrs of the district and hoist the tricolor flag at your homes from 13th to 15th August.
He said that every citizen should hoist the flag in their residences, schools and government offices with respect and by following the flag code. While hoisting the flag, the saffron colour strip should always be on the upper side of the flag. After taking down the flag, citizens should not throw it away; it should be folded with respect and kept. The flag should be hoisted in a proper manner at every house.
