Moradabad, 11 August (HS). The body of a woman was found hanging from a noose on Saturday in Chatarpur Nayak village of Bhagatpur police station area of the district. In this case, on the complaint of the maternal side, the police have registered a case against eight people including the deceased's husband on Sunday.
Narendra Kumar, a resident of Chatarpur village in Afzalgarh police station area, told the police in his complaint that he had married his sister Tanuja to Aman Pal, a resident of Chatarpur Nayak in Bhagatpur police station area of Moradabad, on 29 June 2020. Narendra alleges that his sister's in-laws used to taunt and beat her every day for not having a child and for dowry. On Saturday, he was informed that his sister had died. On receiving this information, when the parents reached the in-laws' house, they saw that their sister's body was hanging from a noose.
Station House Officer Sanjay Panchal said that based on the complaint of the complainant Narendra Kumar, a case of dowry murder has been registered on Sunday against eight accused including the woman's accused husband Aman Pal, father-in-law Hargyan, mother-in-law Ramvati, besides cousin brother-in-law and cousin father-in-law, and investigation has been started.
