Barabanki, 11 August (HS). District Magistrate Satendra Kumar, Chairman of the Management Committee of Jawaharlal Nehru PG College, inaugurated an air-conditioned teacher's room and two water coolers in the college campus on Sunday. On this occasion, he also duly inspected various aspects of all the faculties and departments of the college. In this program, the District Magistrate duly obtained information from the students about their needs and problems in the college. He also assured a quick solution.
He expected the students to study with full dedication and the professors to teach. Further, he assured the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Sitaram Singh, of immediate solution to any problem of the college. In his address, the Principal of the college also presented a brief description of the creative work done by him in the college, which includes the establishment of separate toilet complexes for girl students and boys, construction of separate toilets for teachers, air-conditioned teacher rooms for the professors to sit and water cooler arrangements in the Science Faculty and Arts Faculty. He told about the major educational achievements that MSc in Chemistry and Zoology subjects and Geography and Home Science subjects were recognized at the graduate level. Admission and teaching work in the above subjects has started in the current academic session 2024-25. Along with this, MA Education, Medieval History and English subjects were also made permanent. Along with this, after getting permission from the institution head to run new courses like B.Pharma and D.Pharma in the college, the process of running it is in progress.
He obtained information from the students about their academic activities and career. He motivated them by talking on various aspects to move forward. He also inspected the classrooms and immediately instructed to repair lights, fans and broken windows in the classrooms and to install nets in the windows to avoid mosquitoes and asked to direct Nagar Palika, Barabanki to clean the path of the Scheduled Caste Hostel run by the Social Welfare Department located in the college campus. He also assured the Principal of the college that most of the problems of the college will be solved in a month. The Principal of the college thanked the special guest of this program, Zonal Manager of Bank of Maharashtra Aditya Prakash for the two water coolers given to the college.
In the program, Prof. Ambrish Kumar Shastri, Prof. Santosh Kumar Gaur, Prof. Hemant Kumar Singh, Arvind Kumar Pandey, Rahul Kumar Yadav and NCC students Saumya, Arpita Mishra, Kavita Mishra, Deepika, Savita, Payal, Seema etc. interacted with the District Magistrate. Sumit Kumar Maurya, Premlata Richa etc. were present. The program was conducted and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Vijay Kumar Verma.
