Albendazol tablets were given to children

Barabanki, 10 August (HS). The National Deworming Day was inaugurated by District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar and Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh by feeding albendazole tablets to children in Lakhpeda Bagh. The District Magistrate said that it is important for children to take interest in sports along with studies so that along with physical development, mental development also takes place properly.

The Chief Medical Officer said that Albendazole tablets reduce anaemia in children and increase nutrition, increased resistance in children leads to physical and mental development of children. Nodal Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. DK Srivastava told that the target of the said programme is to administer Albendazole medicine to all children aged 1 to 19 years in 3057 Anganwadi Centres and 4224 government and private schools of the district. The cooperation of 3441 Asha, ANM and Education ICDS and Panchayati Raj Department is being taken to make this programme successful. The children who are left out on 10th August will be administered the medicine on 14th August.

Superintendent of Police Dinesh Singh, ACMO DK Srivastava, Dr. Rajiv Singh, Dr. Aftab, Dr. Surendra Kumar, Dr. Kuldeep Maurya, Health Education Officer Abhay Kumar and Block Education Officer from the Education Department were present at this inauguration ceremony.
