Moradabad, August 10 (HS). A case has been registered against seven people in Civil Lines police station on Saturday for raping and beating a woman on the pretext of marriage. Police is investigating this incident closely.
The victim woman told the police in her complaint that her husband had died in the year 2018. After this, Rinku, a resident of Mora's Milk, proposed marriage, which she accepted. The accused kept raping her on the pretext of marriage. When she put pressure for marriage, Rinku, his brother Tinku, Sanju, Rohit and Aman entered her house and beat her up. On August 7, the accused Rinku again came to her house with his brothers and friends. His brother-in-law Kapil, a resident of Naya village, was also with him. The woman alleged that first all of them tried to rape her but when she raised an alarm, all the accused threatened her and fled.
Police station in-charge Manish Saxena said that a case has been registered against all the seven accused in the case on Saturday and investigation has been started.
