Moradabad, August 10 (HS). The Government Railway Police on Saturday arrested three accused residents of the Mughalpura police station area on the charge of stealing goods worth 1.5 lakhs from a female passenger from the Sushasan Express last month in July. The Area Officer of the Government Railway Police Devi Dayal said that on July 24 last month, a female passenger's bag was stolen from the AC coach of the Sushasan Express. It contained two gold chains, a ring, a pair of tops and six thousand rupees in cash. The GRP traced the thief with the help of CCTV.
The area officer said that in the CCTV, the accused was seen empty handed on the station's platform and was seen getting down from the train bogie with the goods. Today first the main accused Muntazim, resident of police station Mughalpura area, was arrested. Then after that his accomplices Nasir and Mohammad Ali were arrested. All the stolen goods were recovered from them. The accused arrested late in the evening were presented in the court, from where they were sent to jail.
