Varanasi, August 10 (HS). Three engineers including the executive engineer of the Municipal Corporation have been accused of negligence in work. Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma has issued a letter on Saturday for action against Executive Engineer Vikas Kuril, Assistant Engineer Agam Katiyar, Junior Engineer Sukhpal and has sought clarification from them. Along with this, strict action has been taken against three firms namely M/s RK Construction, Mangalam Construction and Shriram Developers. A fine of twenty thousand rupees has been imposed on each of the three firms for not completing the work on time and a warning has been issued to blacklist them.
The Municipal Commissioner, during inspection and on receiving the complaint, found that the contract for the work was made in March 2024. The date of completion of the work was one month, but even after 04 months had passed, these three firms did not start the work. In this case, the three engineers also did not start the work on time. The Municipal Commissioner expressed displeasure with all three for being negligent in the work and not supervising it. He also issued a letter to them and sought clarification. A warning letter was also issued against them for taking action in the government.
