The state government has given approval for developing Biodiversity Forest. Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik gave this information on Friday.
He informed that Biodiversity Forest will be developed in about 60 acres behind Mahamaya Stadium at a cost of about 15 crores. Biodiversity Forest will be equipped with about 38 facilities, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is preparing a plan to make a modern forest in the city in which the entire park will be arranged with modern process, the sewage water will be treated and made useful for the plants, a research center will also be built in Biodiversity Forest.
The Municipal Commissioner said that the Biodiversity Forest will be made completely technical based which will make the Biodiversity Forest successful as an oxygen plant for the city. He said that about 400 to 450 species of plants will be planted in the huge Biodiversity Forest, in which aquatic plants, cactus, clams, many types of trees, medicinal and herbs, bamboo, orchid and cycas species will also be planted. Along with other modern arrangements in the forest, the garbage there will be converted into Greenmount and a research center has also been arranged there. In which people will also be able to get information about biodiversity.
Garden in-charge Dr. Anuj said that sewage water will be cleaned on site and used for irrigation of plants. People of Ghaziabad and nearby cities will be able to use it and tourists coming from far off places will also be a part of this attractive park. Apart from Ghaziabad, it will be famous in other states as well. Under this type of scheme, construction work will be done in the park. The then city commissioners also tried to get approval for biodiversity, but this time Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has got approval from the government. City residents will get the benefit of this biodiversity forest. Work will be done to make biodiversity forest even better with public cooperation and suggestions.
