Kanpur, 09 August (HS). The police has arrested the absconding accused in the murder of a woman in Govind Nagar police station area from Madhya Pradesh. The accused was living in a live-in relationship with the woman. The police recovered the murder weapon on the indication of the accused.
ACP Babupurwa Amarnath Yadav told on Friday that a woman named Madhu was living in a live-in relationship with Suresh Bansal, a resident of village Lalauni in Madhya Pradesh, in Kachhi Basti Gujaini of Govind Nagar police station area. The woman was murdered a few days ago. A murder case was registered in the police station on 22 July. A team led by Inspector Abhay Kumar Singh was investigating to arrest the accused Suresh. The police have arrested Suresh, who was absconding on the charge of murder, from Sanchi in Madhya Pradesh. During interrogation, he confessed to the murder. At his indication, the murder weapon and other things were recovered. Legal action was taken against the accused and he was sent to jail.
