On the other hand, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch is being appointed as Pakistan's ambassador to France. It is also being told that he will replace Asim Iftikhar Ahmed and there is no notification regarding his replacement. Baloch, a 1991 batch officer of the Pakistan Foreign Service, is set to become the second female federal secretary appointed by the Shahbaz government in a month. Earlier, Ambreen Jan was appointed Information and Broadcasting Secretary this month. Baloch, who holds a postgraduate degree in history, has been Pakistan's High Commissioner to Malaysia. Prior to this, she has held various positions in embassies located abroad. She has also served as Pakistan's Consul General in Chengdu, China.
