Logistics hub project worth around Rs 7,500 crore will be completed in three years

Greater Noida, August 08 (HS). The Multi Model Logistics Hub (MMLH) project of DMIC Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited (IITGNL) has moved one step closer to materializing on Thursday. The project is to be developed on the Public Private Partnership model. Therefore, a market sounding meeting was called today to finalize the tender document of this project, in which interested private developers were invited through a public notice. Representatives of about fifteen companies working in the logistics sector from different parts of the country attended the meeting.

The tender document for the selection of a private developer to develop the project was discussed with them and their suggestions were sought in this regard. Their suggestions will be included in the tender document and placed before the board of IITGNL for approval. After getting approval from the board, the tender document will be sent for approval to the Government of India. After getting approval from there, there are preparations to issue a tender for selecting the developer of the project by the end of this year.

Under the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, a multimodal logistics hub is being developed by IITGNL in Dadri, Greater Noida to ease the way of goods transportation of industries. This project is very important considering the needs of the industries of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority. Currently, it takes four to five days for the goods of industries to reach the port located in Mumbai, Gujarat. After its start, the goods will be able to reach in one day. The development work of this project will be done in two phases. The external works will be completed by IITGNL, which will include rail connectivity with DFCC and road connectivity with nearby major routes etc. At the same time, the responsibility of completing the internal development works will be on the private company that receives the tender. About 50 thousand people will get employment directly and indirectly in MMLH.
