Double Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker has returned to India today. Manu Bhaker, a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, created history by winning two medals at the Paris Olympics. Manu Bhaker was given a warm welcome at Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Delhi Airport). From here he will go to the Sports Ministry. Manu won bronze medals in women's individual 10m air pistol and mixed event with Sarabjot Singh. He is the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics. Manu will be India's flag bearer at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Manu will return to Paris for the closing ceremony on Sunday.

There is a video in which Manu's parents are seen arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi confirming her return to India. Crowds have gathered outside the airport to welcome and felicitate the 22-year-old for her historic achievements at the Paris Olympics.
Historic victory and celebration
Manu Bhaker created history by becoming the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal by winning a bronze medal in the individual 10m air pistol event. She then won another bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event with Sarabjot Singh. Bhaker was felicitated by International Olympic Committee (IOC) member and Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani at the India House in Paris along with the shooter and fellow bronze medalist.
