Bangladesh News : The whole world is aware of the recent political situation in Bangladesh. How Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country and flee to India. Now, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid has made an important comment on this incident. He said in warning words that the situation and incidents like those happening in Bangladesh can happen in India as well.

Salman Khurshid warned

Former Union Minister Salman Khurshid made this remark at the launch of academician Mujibur Rahman's book 'Shikwa-e-Hind: The Political Future of Indian Muslims'. He said that everything may look normal in Kashmir. Everything can be seen the same everywhere here. We will celebrate the victory. However, some believe that the victory or success of 2024 would have been normal. Something still needs to be done. The former foreign minister said that there would be no surprise if the incidents happening in Bangladesh happen in India. This incident has to be prevented from spreading in India like it has spread in Bangladesh.

RJD MP Manoj Jha spoke in Shaheen Bagh

At the event, RJD Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha spoke about the Shaheen Bagh movement against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and said it was not given due credit. “Shaheen Bagh's success should not be measured on the scale of the grandeur of its achievements. Remember what the Shaheen Bagh protest was about… when Parliament was defeated, the streets came alive,” Jha said.

What did Salman Khurshid say on Shaheen Bagh?

The women-led protest against the CAA at Shaheen Bagh in south-east Delhi continued for nearly 100 days and inspired similar protests across the country. Manoj Jha feels the Shaheen Bagh movement was successful, while Salman Khurshid believes the movement has failed as many people who were part of the protest are still in jail. Khurshid also said that there cannot be another movement like Shaheen Bagh in the country today. The Congress leader said, “Will you feel bad if I say Shaheen Bagh was a failure? Many of us believe Shaheen Bagh was a success, but I know what is happening to people associated with Shaheen Bagh. How many of them are still in jail?”
