Politics has heated up in Bangladesh over Sheikh Hasina and she has left the country. She is currently in India. Security agencies have allowed Sheikh Hasina to enter India safely. She arrived in India on a C-130J aircraft named AJX and was seen near the Indian border at 3 pm.
2 Rafale aircraft on alert
Indian radars were active at that time and tracked the aircraft as it entered Indian territory and left Kolkata airspace. Aware of the aircraft package, Indian Air Force personnel activated 2 Rafale fighter jets to assist in any emergency.
Indian security officials held a meeting
India started chasing the C-130 aircraft with call sign AJAX1431 from 10 km from the Bangladesh border. The plane was heading towards Delhi. A Bangladesh Air Force aircraft arrived near the UP-Bihar border via Patna at 4 pm, carrying National Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, heads of intelligence agencies and Chief of Integrated Defense Staff Lieutenant General Joe Mathew. Top security officials of the country attended the meeting for a top-level inspection of the situation.
Meeting between Sheikh Hasina and Ajit Doval
The plane landed safely at Hindon airbase at around 5.45 pm and NSA Doval met the Bangladeshi PM. During the discussion, they discussed the current situation in Bangladesh as well as the steps to be taken in the future. He then left the airbase to brief the Cabinet Committee on Security on the NSA issue. The top-level meeting was attended by PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Finance Minister N Sitharaman.
