Moradabad, 02 August (HS). In the Pakbara police station area of the district, the police arrested a cow slaughter history sheeter in an encounter on Friday morning. During the encounter, the accused got injured when he was shot in the leg during the retaliatory firing. He has been admitted to the district hospital. The arrested accused has 17 cases of cow slaughter registered against him in various police station areas.
Superintendent of Police City Akhilesh Bhadoria and Civil Line Area Officer Arpit Kapoor said that the police team was on patrol in the SEZ police post area of Pakbara police station on Thursday-Friday night. During this time, a young man was seen coming in the area. When the police team tried to stop him, he started firing at the police. After this, in the retaliatory firing by the police, the accused got shot in the leg and got injured.
SP City further said that during interrogation, the accused has revealed his name as Jaane Alam and he is a resident of Taharpur village of Mainather police station area of the district. The accused caught in the encounter is a famous accused of cow slaughter. 17 cases of cow slaughter are registered against him in various police station areas and action has also been taken under the Gangster Act. The injured history-sheeter has been admitted to the district hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
