On Shivaratri, Meerut Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J. and Meerut Range Inspector General of Police Nachiketa Jha conducted an aerial survey of the Kanwar Yatra by helicopter. After this, flowers were showered on the Kanwariyas at the Aughadnath Temple in Meerut and the Pura Mahadev Temple in Baghpat.
Police and administrative officials have been showering flowers on Kanwariyas from helicopters for two days. On Thursday, Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Vipin Tada showered flowers on Kanwariyas from a helicopter. Along with this, an aerial survey of the Kanwar Yatra was done on the Kanwar routes. During this, they also reviewed the security arrangements. On Shivratri on Friday, Meerut Division Commissioner Selva Kumari J. and Meerut Range IG Nachiketa Jha conducted an aerial survey. The helicopter took off from the helipad located at the Police Line and showered flowers on the Aughadnath temple in Meerut Cantt. Along with this, flowers were showered on the Kanwariyas passing through the Kanwar route. Both the officials also reviewed the security arrangements. Seeing this, the Kanwariyas chanted Har Har Mahadev and raised slogans of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Zindabad. After this, the helicopter left for Pura Mahadev temple in Baghpat.
