Attacks can come from many directions
Iran has previously attacked Israel directly, but Israel and its allied forces have since intercepted all of its rockets and drones. Iran's military commanders have begun preparing for another such attack. There are also reports that military commanders are looking for ways to attack without civilian casualties.
This time Iran is preparing for the attack along with its proxies. If Israel were attacked simultaneously by Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Iran, its air defense system would have difficulty stopping them. If even two or three rockets out of hundreds penetrate Israel's air defenses and fall on cities, Iran can say that it has avenged Haniya's death.
Israel Alert
Israel is on alert after Haniya's death. Although Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack, it is no secret that Israel has a long history of carrying out such operations. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday reacted to Iran's threat of retaliation, saying that Iran will pay a heavy price for any aggressive action against us on any front.
US denies involvement
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has denied US involvement in Haniya's murder. The US has no knowledge of Haniya's murder nor is it involved in it.
