Bareilly, July 31 (HS). Divisional Railway Manager Rekha Yadav of North Eastern Railway, Izzatnagar Division planted a sapling on a large scale in New Model Railway Colony under the campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. During this, the officers present there also planted saplings. The school children also took one sapling each to go to their homes and plant them in vacant places. After planting the sapling, Rekha Yadav appealed to everyone to take care of the saplings like their children.
He said that tree plantation work is being done at the mandal with everyone's participation. Even small school children are participating in it with great enthusiasm, who will grow up and inspire people to plant trees.
In relation to this campaign, till now more than 75 thousand saplings have been planted daily on the vacant land of the entire division at various railway stations, railway colonies, parks, along the railway tracks etc. through the officers, employees and their family members and the Garden Inspector, Chief Health Inspector, Senior Section Engineer (Works), Scout Guide members and various NGOs working in the division. And tree plantation work is being done on a large scale every day this year as well, as in the past years.
