Lakhimpur Kheri, July 31 (HS). To review the facilities being provided to the prisoners, cleanliness of the prison and other arrangements, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal and SP Ganesh Prasad Saha conducted a surprise inspection of the district prison on Wednesday.
DM-SP went to the prison to know about the condition of the prisoners and to get information about their food and drink. They also gave necessary instructions to the prison administration. They went to various barracks and got information about the basic facilities and arrangements from the prisoners. They expressed satisfaction on getting cleanliness in the prison. They instructed that cleanliness should be maintained in the prison daily in the same manner.
DM-SP also conducted a thorough inspection of all the barracks and prisoners. During the inspection, no objectionable items were found in the barracks. The jail superintendent told that the jail is regularly checked by him and the jail staff. DM-SP directed the jail superintendent to regularly inspect the prison. Instructions were given to keep a special watch on sensitive prisoners. Keep giving information from time to time regarding the activities of the prisoners lodged in the prison.
During the inspection, Jail Superintendent PD Salonia, Jailer Harivansh Kumar Pandey, Deputy Jailer Dhirendra Pratap Singh Rathore, Bhojraj Singh, Doctor Dr Shiv Pujan were present.
