Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu on Wednesday entered the women's singles badminton pre-quarterfinals of the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024. The Indian shuttler qualified by defeating Estonian opponent Kristin Kuba 21-5, 21-10 in the last match of her second group match. With this win, Sindhu has made her place in the Round of 16. She won this match in 34 minutes.

Sindhu won the match by winning 8 consecutive points in the first game. The score was 11-2 at the time of break. After this, she easily won this game 21-5. Cuba played a little better in the second match. However, after this Sindhu made a strong comeback and the score became 11-6 till the break. Cuba had no chance after the break. Sindhu won the second match 21-10.

Earlier, Indian badminton star PV Sindhu had started her campaign strongly in the Paris Olympics. Sindhu easily defeated Fatima Nabaha Abdul Razak of Maldives in her first match in Group-M of women's singles on 28 July. Sindhu won this match 21-9, 21-6 against the world number 111 player. At that time this match lasted only 29 minutes.
