India to host Asia Cup 2025: India will host the next season of the men's Asia Cup cricket tournament in the T20 format in 2025 ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held in the country in 2026, the Asian Cricket Council announced.
The Asia Cup is always used as part of preparations for the global event and is played in the same format as the World Cup. The Asia Cup will feature 13 matches each in T20 format in India and 50 overs format in Bangladesh.
It is worth noting that earlier the 2023 season of the Asia Cup was organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board on a 'hybrid model'. Then India refused to tour Pakistan and most of its matches were played in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh will host the tournament in ODI format in 2027.
