Prayagraj, 29 July (HS). Allahabad High Court has issued a bailable warrant against Gorakhpur District Magistrate Shri Krishna Karunesh for not complying with the order and not appearing even after the direction and not giving any reason in this regard. The DM has been directed to appear on 9 August.
This order has been given by Justice Salil Kumar Rai while hearing the contempt petition of Ashok Yadav. The court had directed DM Gorakhpur to file an affidavit showing compliance of the order or appear personally after the petitioner did not submit the affidavit of compliance of the order passed in the petition. Even after this order, neither the affidavit of compliance was filed nor the DM appeared. Nor did any response come from his side. The court took it seriously and directed to issue a bailable warrant against the District Magistrate. Also, directed to get the warrant executed through the Chief Judicial Magistrate Gorakhpur.
