Campaign will be launched to remove illegal encroachment from government lands

Lucknow, 29 July (HS). A campaign will be launched to remove illegal encroachment from government lands in Lucknow. Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob gave this information in a statement.

Lucknow Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob said that government lands are still occupied in the city. Officials should work on this under a strategy. In rural areas too, people have been occupying lands for a long time. During the investigation at the tehsil level, it is coming to light that in Lucknow, land worth crores of rupees is still occupied by powerful people or land mafia.

He said that in Lucknow division, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) will take this campaign in his hands at Tehsil level. SDM will prepare a list and remove illegal occupants. Officers sitting at Tehsil level will provide full cooperation in this. During this, if someone claims the land as his own, he will have to present evidence and proof. Under no circumstances will government land be allowed to be occupied.

He said that the district administration and revenue department officials will be fully active in the campaign. The help of local police has to be taken against the elements who create obstacles in the campaign. Make a list and run a campaign to remove illegal encroachments continuously.
