Second Monday of Shravan month, crowd of devotees gathered in Shiva temples

Kanpur, July 29 (HS). On the second Monday of the month of Shravan, devotees are thronging the Shiva temples of the district with the chanting of 'Bam-Bam Bhole Nath'.

Long queues of devotees were seen since dawn to perform Jalabhishek in all Shiva temples including Anandeshwar, Siddheshwar Nath, Bhuteshwar Nath, Bankhandeshwar, Thaneshwar, Kotwaleshwar, Jhagdeshwar, Bhuteshwar Mahadev located in Kanpur city. In view of security, heavy police force and temple administration sevadars have made tight arrangements for the safety of all devotees in all Shiva temples of the city. The district administration had installed barricades about 200 meters before the temple to check the movement of vehicles. On the instructions of Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar, all Shiva temples are being monitored with CCTV cameras and drones.

Police force, PSC, divers have been deployed on all the ghats of Ganga since the first Monday of Shravan month. Apart from this, secret security agencies are also active in view of security at Shiva temples and ghats.
