Barabanki, 27 July (HS). Chief Development Officer A. Sudan conducted a surprise inspection of MNREGA works of village panchayats Bhuhera and Gadiya of development block Banki. During this, he conducted a field inspection of Chakbandh levelling work from Shivshankar's field to the canal in village panchayat Bhuhera and Chakmarg levelling work from Bhuhera link road to Santram's field in village panchayat Gadiya.
On the spot, the Chief Development Officer found 18 labourers working in Bhuhera and 5 labourers in Gram Panchayat Gadiya. There was drinking water arrangement for the labourers on the site, but while instructing to make arrangement for a drinking water stall, he asked to get job cards and acknowledgement receipts made for the labourers present on the spot. The Chief Development Officer told Gram Pradhan Gadiya to get as many good works done as possible from Village Fund and MNREGA Convergence so that there can be progress in MNREGA works. Block Development Officer, Banki Shivjeet and other subordinate officers and employees were present at the time of inspection.
