Varanasi, 27 July (HS). Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiatives have been taken in the health sector to realize the vision of “Developed India” by 2047. Experts gathered in a panel discussion organized on the topic of Healthcare for Developed India 2047 on Saturday under the joint aegis of MSME and Startup Forum-India (MSFB) and Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU (IMS-BHU).
The vision document of the ideas included in the panel discussion will be sent to the central and state governments. The objective of this panel discussion series is to prepare a futuristic draft for the health sector by 2029 and pave the way for a healthy Kashi, healthy UP and healthy India. Co-chairman of the panel discussion and Medical Superintendent of Sir Sundarlal Hospital, BHU, Prof. Kailash Kumar said that not only physical health is important but mental health is also very important. If any disease comes in the house, the whole family gets worried. Goals should be set, not targets. It is a good thing that doctors are posted in villages, but the system should also think that any doctor who is sent to a remote area should get basic facilities.
In the panel discussion, former Head of Department, Radio and Imaging, IMS-BHU, Prof. Ashish Verma said that there is a need to create a patient friendly environment to improve health services. The world's health services are changing rapidly. Patients put forward their demands according to their facilities, the path of treatment and diagnosis is being made on their demand. India's health services will improve only with the participation of patients and everyone associated with health services. In the discussion, Dr. Hemant Gupta, a gastroenterologist of a private hospital, said that health services were not a priority in the previous governments. Covid has woken everyone up. If we look at Kashi, there are many government hospitals. Earlier, there was a lack of basic facilities in them. Beds were not available for admission to the common patient. Health services will improve not by improving any one hospital or institution but by providing quality facilities to government hospitals.
On this occasion, former founding Vice Chancellor of Ballia University, Prof. Yogendra Singh said that Corona has shown that health is the greatest wealth. Health services can eliminate the inequality in society. Health services should be the same from village to city. In his address, Himanshu Burad, Special Executive Officer, National Health Authority, New Delhi, made important proposals for the health of India in 2047.
