Raid on gambling den being run inside the house, more than two lakh rupees recovered

Kanpur, 27 July (HS). On Saturday, the police team raided a gambling den being run from a house in Machhli Tola locality of Moolganj police station area. The police team recovered more than two lakh rupees and six mobile phones from the spot. The police took legal action by registering a case against the six gamblers caught.

Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh said that a gambling den was being operated from the house of Shaka Dixit, a resident of Machhli Tola, Moolganj. The police was getting this information for the past few days. On the instructions of the Police Commissioner, under the campaign being run to control social crime, Moolganj Police Station In-charge Inspector Rakesh Kumar Singh was engaged in searching for suspects with his team. On the information of the informer, the police team raided the house of Shaka Dixit. From where the police team recovered 2 lakh, 20 thousand 840 rupees, two packs of cards and 14540 and 6 mobile phones from the possession of gamblers.

Those caught from the spot are Sarvesh Kumar Mishra, resident of Shivli Road in Kalyanpur police station area, Gaurav Chaurasia, resident of Shukla Nagar in Gangaghat police station area of ​​​​Unnao district, Anoop Kumar, resident of Patel Nagar in Chakeri police station area, Ajay Verma, resident of Sitaram Hulaganj Mohalla in Harbansh Mohalla police station, Suresh Kumar Sahu, resident of Colonelganj Khatikana in Bajaria police station area, Altaf, resident of Gangaganj village Dood Colony in Panki police station area. Legal action is being taken by registering a case against all of them.
