Three members of the gang who stole oil from the tanker along with 900 liters of diesel arrested

Mirzapur, July 27 (HS). A joint team of Ahraura Police, SOG, Surveillance and Food and Logistics Department on Saturday arrested three members of a gang stealing diesel from tankers with 900 liters of diesel.

Superintendent of Police Abhinandan told in a press conference held in the auditorium of Police Line that under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Operation and Area Officer Operation, a joint team of Ahraura Police, SOG, Surveillance and Food and Logistics Department reached village Baradih on the information of some people stealing oil from an oil tanker in Ahraura area. Three accused Sunil Patel (tanker driver) son of Basant Lal Patel resident of village Karkosa police station Bedhan district Sigrauli, Madhya Pradesh, Suraj son of Amarnath and Shamim son of Salim resident of Baradih were arrested near Tata Workshop. An oil tanker and tractor trolley (without number), a car and 900 liters of diesel in six drums, eight empty drums and a motorcycle were recovered from the spot. In connection with the arrest and recovery, a case was registered at Ahraura police station and legal action was taken.

During interrogation of the arrested accused, it was revealed that they have an organized gang, which makes deals with the drivers of oil tankers going from Varanasi to Sonbhadra, illegally extracts diesel, adulterates it and sells it. During interrogation, names of some other people related to the incident have also come to light, which are being verified.
