Lucknow, 27 July (HS). After spreading panic among the coastal people in Ballia, Ayodhya, Barabanki of Uttar Pradesh, the water level of river Ghaghra has become stable. Ghaghra river has come below the danger mark. Due to which the risk of flood in many villages connected to major ghats has reduced.
The Ghaghra river, which was flowing above the danger mark at Elgin Bridge Ghat in Barabanki via Bahraich, came down to 0.114 meters below the danger mark on Saturday morning. The officials of the irrigation department and the district administration heaved a sigh of relief after the Ghaghra river came below the danger mark.
Moving ahead of Barabanki, the Ghaghra river in Ayodhya is .23 meters below the danger mark. Similarly, the water level of the Ghaghra river has come below the danger mark after falling .13 meters at Turtipar Ghat in Ballia district.
The teams of the irrigation department are constantly engaged in the work of preventing erosion to prevent the danger of floods. In the coastal areas of the Ghaghra river, the departmental officials have worked to stop erosion with the help of local people and groups. Due to which a very relieved situation has been maintained till now.

Flood situation persists in Badaun district due to rising water level of river Ganga. Amidst flood prevention operations, the water level of Ganga came down to .170 below the danger mark on Friday evening. Ganga water has been found to be stable in Kachla Bridge area of Badaun district.
