Bijnor, July 26 (HS). District Magistrate Ankit Kumar Agarwal and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha participated in the program organized by Ex Servicemen Welfare Association at Kakaran Vatika on the occasion of completion of 25 years and silver jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas and expressed gratitude to the soldiers and their families by remembering the brave soldiers and their sacrifice.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest District Magistrate Ankit Kumar Agarwal by lighting the lamp. The District Magistrate, while expressing his views on the organization of the 25th annual celebration of Vijay Diwas, told all the concerned officials to go to the schools of the district and provide detailed information to the children about the great personalities of the country and the heroes of the country, so that the feeling of patriotism is awakened in the young generation.
He said that we should all be proud that we live in a country where national interest and patriotism are paramount and all of us are ready to give our all to maintain the unity and integrity of this country. The heroes of the country have sacrificed everything for the country. Their sacrifice and the contribution of their families cannot be described in words.
Under the programme, the District Magistrate honoured the military officers, brave women of the martyred soldiers and their dependents by presenting them with mementoes and shawls.
On this occasion, various patriotic and cultural programs were organized. Children gave a beautiful presentation of the drama 'Dahej Danav' and other patriotic music was also presented. The District Magistrate also honored the children participating in various cultural programs by distributing prizes.
