Lucknow, 26 July (HS). Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded an increase in the stipend of MBBS and BDS intern doctors. In this regard, a delegation of ABVP met Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak on Friday and submitted a memorandum regarding the increase in the stipend of MBBS and BDS intern doctors.
Under the leadership of ABVP's provincial co-minister Dr. Rohit Singh, intern doctors met Brajesh Pathak and demanded to increase the stipend of medical interns MBBS and BDS in Uttar Pradesh from 12 thousand to 30 thousand.
Dr. Rohit Singh told Hindustan News that ABVP has been working in the interest of students and the nation since its inception. At present, the Uttar Pradesh government is giving a stipend of Rs 12,000 per month to medical interns, which is insufficient. Whereas in other states, Delhi: Rs 30,070 per month, Maharashtra: Rs 36,225 per month, Karnataka: Rs 28,292 per month, Gujarat: Rs 27,500 + DA per month and Madhya Pradesh: Rs 25,000 per month are given.
