The number of people buying new BSNL SIMs and porting them increased 20 times

Ghaziabad, 25 July (HS). After the new strategy of BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), the trend of consumers towards the company has increased rapidly. This is the reason that the number of people buying new BSNL SIMs and porting has increased 20 times and more than 10 thousand SIMs are being sold every day. Subhash Chandra, General Manager of BSNL Business Area Ghaziabad, says that gradually BSNL is once again moving towards becoming the number one company of the country by getting back to its old form.

Subhash Chandra, General Manager of BSNL Business Area Ghaziabad, told in a conversation that the number of customers taking and porting BSNL SIM has increased 20 times compared to the past. In UP West Telecom Circle alone, the number of BSNL SIM sales has reached more than 10 thousand per day. In which about 2000 customers are porting from private mobile operators to BSNL every day. Even in view of the increasing demand for BSNL SIM, there is a competition to become an authorized retailer and DSA to sell SIM. While becoming a retailer will provide employment to people, BSNL customers will get the facility of getting SIM in the streets and localities. Subhash Chandra also praised his subordinate officers and employees involved in this campaign and said that BSNL officers and employees are also engaged in carrying out the work day and night with great diligence. Taking care of consumer interests is the priority of BSNL.

He said that BSNL is rapidly upgrading its network to indigenous 4G. If we talk about UP West Telecom Circle, till now 1225 new 4G sites have been installed and in the next few months 2176 sites will be converted to 4G. As far as Ghaziabad operational area is concerned, out of 112 mobile towers, more than 50 have been converted to 4G and probably by 15th August all mobile towers will be converted to 4G technology. This will not only increase the data speed but also improve the speech quality.

The General Manager also said that the day is not far when after December 2024, after the conversion of BSNL towers to 5G technology, consumers will be able to take advantage of the high speed in sending data. Giving information about BSNL's tariff plan during the conversation, he said that for Rs 249, it is providing the facility of unlimited calls and 2 GB data per day with a validity of 45 days. Explaining the porting process for the convenience of consumers, he said that to port to BSNL, write “SMS PORT space mobile number” and send it to 1900 and complete the porting process by visiting your nearest BSNL customer service center or retailer with the UPC code received on your mobile.
