Moradabad, July 24 (HS). Cyber fraudsters hacked the mobile phone of a lawyer resident of Thana Kanth area of the district and asked for money from his friends. A fellow lawyer of the lawyer came under the influence of cyber fraudsters and got Rs. 10,000 transferred from him.
Advocate Yashveer Singh, a resident of Samandpur Buniyadpur, Kanth, practices in Kanth Tehsil. Yashveer said that some unknown person hacked his mobile. The accused put his photo on WhatsApp DP and sent a message to fellow lawyers demanding money. Falling into the trap, Yashveer's fellow lawyer Sanjeev Kumar Vishnoi also transferred Rs 10,000 to the cyber fraud's account. Yashveer alleges that the cyber fraud has also deleted the data from his mobile. On Wednesday, lawyers under the leadership of Tehsil Bar Association met SDM Ajay Mishra and CO Apeksha Nimbadia and demanded action in the matter.
