Senior Professor of Psychiatry Department of Kashi Hindu University Sarsunderlal Hospital, Sanjay Gupta 'Happiness Guru' said that in mental illness, treatment is not necessary, not sympathy. There is a feeling of neglect towards mental health not only in the district but everywhere. Which is a very disappointing situation. Mental health is the biggest need of the body, when the mind is happy, the body also remains healthy.
Pro. Sanjay Gupta was addressing the discussion on 'District and Health: Challenges and Solutions' under the 'Spring Session' organized by the research dialogue group of the center in Rahul Auditorium of Bhojpuri Study Center located on the university campus on Wednesday. He said that at present the feeling of neglect towards mental diseases is decreasing. Awareness about this is increasing in the minds of people. Center Coordinator Prof. Shriprakash Shukla said that only an informed district is a healthy district. Professor of Urology Department, Prof. Sameer Trivedi said that being conscious about our health is our biggest responsibility. Besides, it is also necessary for the government to adopt a conscious approach towards the health sector. During this, Prof. Trivedi also told the causes and solutions of diseases related to Urology like urinary bladder related problems, kidney stones, urinary infection, cancer etc. Professor of Gynecology Department, Prof. Uma Pandey said that the main problem in the backward environment of Purvanchal is the carelessness of people, especially women, towards their own health.
For the treatment of any disease, it is necessary to remain in constant touch with the doctor, until we become completely healthy. Pro. Uma Pandey said that girls need to be more aware and conscious about their health. For example, to prevent cervical cancer in women, the HPV vaccine being administered by the government must be taken. Prof. Shankha Shubhra Chakraborty of the Department of Geriatrics said that for proper care of the gradually increasing elderly population in India, it is necessary that the number of doctors related to geriatrics should increase. Such doctors are needed for economically backward areas like Purvanchal. Dr. Amitdhar Dwivedi of Radiology Department also presented his views in the seminar.
