Varanasi, 24 July (HS). On Wednesday, a speeding truck crushed a student riding a bicycle near Chandra crossing in Sarnath police station area. The student died on the spot. Angry people blocked the road due to this heart-rending incident. Police also reached there as soon as they got the information.
Bhavesh Jaiswal (15), the only son of Ajit Kumar Jaiswal, a resident of Ramrepur Pahadia, left home for school this morning as usual. The student had just reached near Chandra Square on his bicycle when a truck loaded with sand suddenly came and ran over him at a high speed. After the accident, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled after going some distance. In this heart-rending incident, the student died on the spot. On receiving this information, father Ajit and the student's family reached the spot. Seeing the sad wailing of the deceased student's family and mother, the angry local people blocked the road. Due to this, a queue of vehicles was formed on the Sarnath Panchkroshi Marg. The Sarnath police station in-charge, who reached the spot, pacified the people by explaining them. The police station has started further action in the case.
