Kanpur, July 24 (HS). Apply online to avail the benefits of National Family Benefit Scheme. This information was given by District Social Welfare Officer Shilpi Singh on Wednesday.
He informed that under the National Family Benefit Scheme run by the Social Welfare Department, it will be the responsibility of the verifying officer and employee nominated by the District Social Welfare Officer to check the online application forms submitted by the applicants. The benefit of the scheme will be given to the member of such a family which is below the poverty line and will be given on the death of the main earning member of the family (woman or man) (age 18 years or more and less than 60 years till the date of death). Along with this, it is mandatory that the annual income of that poor family should be Rs 56460 in urban areas and Rs 46080 for a family living in rural areas and Rs 30,000 will be provided as a lump sum financial assistance for the poor family (the word family means husband-wife, minor children, unmarried daughter and dependent parents).
