Khartoum: Sudan, which has been under the control of the great Egyptian empires since ancient times, is famous for its golden wheat harvest. It was called one of the barns of the world. Now drought has taken over it. This huge country is now divided into two parts. The northern part of the Blue Nile, a tributary of the great mother Nile, is Muslim. The southern part remains Christian. The upper part is currently suffering from an unusual and severe drought. There are people to eat. Such a situation has arisen that women have to face the jostling of soldiers for food items. They have no other option. To satisfy the hunger of themselves and their family, they have to satisfy the hunger of those greedy soldiers.
A woman living in the city of Ombudurman told the English newspaper The Guardian that grains are being stored in the factories of the country. We are taken there. After this the tradition of rape starts. This is unbearable but we are portrayed. We have to satisfy the demonic hunger of those soldiers to satisfy our hunger and that of our hungry family members. My parents are very old. I do not even allow my 12-year-old daughter to go out of the house. I went to those soldiers and asked for grains. In return I had to fulfill their wish. These demonic soldiers are everywhere. They are everywhere, even the factories are under their control. I had to surrender to them for some grains and some meat.
Since April 15 last year, there has been a continuous war between the army and paramilitary forces in Sudan. Civilians have also suffered in this war. So far, a total of more than 159,000 people, including civilians, have been killed and the country is in a state of drought. The situation is so serious that more than 1 crore 10 lakh civilians have been displaced. According to the United Nations report, Sudan has the highest number of displaced people in the world.
Sudan is currently at war between the army, paramilitary forces and the so-called Revolutionary Sudanese Forces (RSF). But all three are full of savagery. They carry out indiscriminate raids on the areas under their control.
Countless people have left their homes in Sudan's cities and villages. The goods kept in them are being looted. Soldiers are standing to stop this. But those same soldiers-women are put in those houses. They also allow the women to take the goods from those houses after their wish is fulfilled. They also give grains and meat. As many women told the Guardian. Teman said that then they sell those goods in big cities.
One woman told her story to the Guardian, saying that when she refused to surrender to the soldiers, she was brutally beaten. Her legs were burnt. The woman screamed and the demonic soldiers started laughing at her screams.
A Sudanese soldier who flatly denied taking part in the massacre also told the Guardian about such brutal incidents.
