Kanpur, 22 July (HS). The servers of six hospitals including the medical college crashed on Monday. Due to this, the OPD system of these hospitals completely collapsed. Due to the non-availability of prescriptions, patients were not able to see doctors and looked upset. At the same time, a lot of dissatisfaction was also seen among the patients in the scorching heat.
It is worth mentioning that OPD prescriptions start being made at 7 am, but on Monday, as soon as the counter opened, the server crashed due to which not even a single patient's prescription could be made for OPD. The attendants standing in the queue for a long time in the extreme humidity got upset. After this, the employees informed the higher officials about this. On the instructions of the officials, prescriptions for OPD were made by the employees by hand. The maximum crowd is seen in Hallet Hospital on Monday. On this day, more than two thousand prescriptions are made here, but due to the server crash, prescriptions were made by hand, which were only around 1000. In such a situation, many patients had to return without treatment.
The patients who were standing in the queue since morning got disappointed when their prescription was not made. Due to the server not coming up, a long queue of people who wanted to get their tests done was also formed. Some people returned without getting their tests done while some people went to private pathology labs for their tests. In such a situation, the patients who came from outside districts had to face a lot of problems. The patients got disappointed due to the blood sample not being submitted. Not only this, apart from GSVM Medical College, the server of five more hospitals affiliated to the medical college was down, due to which prescriptions were made manually there too. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. RK Singh says that manual prescriptions of the patients have been made.
